Designed with the rural and semi-rural market in mind, satellite is a two-way high-speed Internet technology that uses geosynchronous satellites to transmit data through a satellite dish (attached to the roof of your home) that is wired to your computer. Transferring data upstream (from your computer to the Internet) is significantly slower because the satellite provider limits the transfer speed.
