Satellite Internet is much faster than dial-up, but it still is not as fast as DSL and Cable Internet. Satellite plans are also more expensive than DSL or Cable Internet plans because they require professional installation and the purchase of the satellite hardware, which can be quite expensive. Lastly, satellite Internet is not currently compatible with Mac, UNIX, or Linux Operating Systems.
